Hollywood actress caught hiding fugitive CEO boyfriend and funding his escape after he scammed stars out of over $20M
A Hollywood actress pleaded guilty for helping a fugitive tech CEO evade U.S. authorities after he was convicted in a multimillion-dollar fraud. Lucinda Jane Weist Manera, also known as Lucy Weist and best known for roles in Blown Away, Predator 2 and The Silencers, admitted on Monday to one felony count of being an accessory after the fact. Prosecutors said she assisted convicted fraudster Bernhard Eugen Fritsch escape capture, funded his time on the run in Mexico, and researched how he could reach Germany, where extradition of citizens is generally prohibited. The actress, 63, faces up to five years in federal prison. She is identified in the report as the Predator 2 star, and she was previously married to director Jim Manera, who directed and co-wrote Atlas Shrugged Part III: Who Is John Galt? Fritsch, 64, founder and CEO of StarClub Inc. in Santa Monica, was found guilty in April 2025 of wire fraud for a scheme that swindled investors out of more than $20 million between 2014 and 2017. Authorities estimated at least $25 million in losses.
