It's Chris Evans Versus the Volcano in the Trailer for Netflix's 'Sacrifice'

Netflix released the first trailer for Sacrifice, a satirical black comedy from director Romain Gavras. The plot centers on a high-end gala supporting environmental causes that’s disrupted by activists—except the trailer frames them as members of a cult intent on kidnapping wealthy figures. Chris Evans stars as a “washed-up” movie star seized from a party hosted by billionaire couple characters played by Vincent Cassel and Salma Hayek Pinault. The activists are led by Anya Taylor-Joy as Joan, who and her group demand that three people be thrown into a nearby volcano to prevent an extinction-level event. The cast also includes Sam Richardson and John Malkovich, alongside musicians Yung Lean and Charli xcx. Sacrifice arrives on Netflix in the U.S. and France on October 16.
