Kanye West's Prague Concert Cancelled After Arena Terminates Contract
Kanye West's Prague concert was canceled after the arena terminated the contract with the event promoter, marking another setback in his European comeback. The show was scheduled for July 25 at Chuchle Arena Prague, a horse-racing venue on the outskirts of the Czech capital. Arena director Zuzana Rambová confirmed the termination, citing communication issues with promoter Hugo Production and an inability to obtain clear answers on key details. She did not offer a formal reason, and Hugo Production has not commented publicly. The cancellation follows earlier controversy over Ye's antisemitic remarks and political pressure from lawmakers and advocacy groups who opposed the performance.
Despite the setback, West has staged appearances in other European markets, including two shows in the Netherlands earlier this month after authorities allowed the events to proceed and a recent performance in Istanbul. The tour has seen other dates postponed or canceled in France, Poland, Italy and beyond amid protests and political pressure over his past remarks. European venues have faced repeated scrutiny of his acts, and at times visa issues have complicated plans such as a proposed U.K. festival appearance that was scrapped. Still, Ye has continued to perform in select markets, underscoring a turbulent comeback.
