Makes London Fashion Week debut in push to bolster style credentials
xCruzo Brief
Marks & Spencer is set for its London Fashion Week debut as it tries to strengthen its fashion credentials and reach mass-market shoppers. The retailer will mark 100 years in fashion with a catwalk show featuring 57 menswear and womenswear looks inspired by pieces from its archive. Unlike many LFW presentations, all M&S items will be available to buy immediately, both online and across 10 flagship stores in the UK and Ireland. Half the collection will be priced under £50. M&S says it aims to double long-term online sales for fashion, home and beauty from about £1.4bn in 2024/25, and raise digital’s share to 50% from roughly 34%. The company also plans to unveil half-year results on 4 November.
