Mindhunter Meets Scarpetta In Netflix's Upcoming Psychological Thriller From The Russos
Netflix’s next psychological thriller, “The Whisper Man,” is positioned as a blend of the case-driven tones associated with “Mindhunter” and the forensic, mystery framework of “Scarpetta,” adapting Alex North’s novel. The series is produced by Joe y Anthony Russo and directed by James Ashcroft, who previously worked on “Coming Home in the Dark” (2021) and “The Rule of Jenny Pen” (2024). “The Whisper Man” stars Adam Scott as Tom Kennedy, a escritor de crímenes que busca la ayuda de su padre separado, Pete Willis, un detective retirado interpretado por Robert De Niro. Pete had previously jailed the Whisper Man, making him the only one with leverage to stop the killer now. The plot centers on the abduction of Tom’s son by the eponymous serial killer and a moral question mirroring themes seen in “Scarpetta.”
