Simon Richardson, 35, of Sale, is on trial at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court over accusations of murder, manslaughter and dangerous driving after a fatal collision with a cyclist. The court heard testimony from Ms Debotte, who said she screamed “bike” three times as the Volvo approached the junction of Dunham Road and Paddock Lane on April 20. She told jurors Richardson stopped for “a split second” but then drove off, while she could hear a “moaning” noise under the vehicle and Richardson said, “He’s under the car.” The Volvo was involved in later movements around Lymm before returning to Greater Manchester.
