Nashville artists dominate GMA Dove Awards nominations

Artists and songwriters from Christian and gospel music have been nominated for the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, with the press release highlighting Nashville’s growing role in faith-based media production. Phil Wickham leads the male nominations with nine nods, while Tennessee-based CeCe Winans tops the female categories with seven. The article says more than a dozen nominees have strong ties to Music City, including residents Joel and Luke Smallbone of for KING + COUNTRY, as well as Lauren Daigle, Anne Wilson and Jamie MacDonald. Filmmaker Andrew Erwin’s “I Can Only Imagine 2” also received a nomination for potential Gospel Music Association feature film. Tauren Wells will host for a fourth consecutive year. The ceremony is set for Oct. 6 at Bridgestone Arena, airing Oct. 9 on TBN and TBN+.
