Peter Wright admits Channel 5's The Yorkshire Vet TV show almost didn't happen
Peter Wright, star of Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet, said the TV show nearly did not happen after he told producers at the outset, “I don’t think it will work.” Speaking at the Great Yorkshire Show on Wednesday, July 15, he later noted that 22 series afterward, he was proved wrong and described the job as “the most unusual but most rewarding.” Wright said he is currently filming the 23rd series and that a four-part “At Home with the Greens” program is also in development. He recently traveled to India to film “A Passage to India: A Yorkshire Vet Special,” joining colleague Rohin to explore Punjab, which he described as “utter chaos” for part of the journey but overall enjoyable. During the trip, they attended a festival dressed in traditional Punjabi outfits. Wright also said he was the only crew member who avoided illness, crediting avoiding “dicey” items at McDonald’s.
