Primark to offer home delivery as it prepares to split from owner ABF - AOL

Primark will begin offering home delivery in Britain for the first time as it prepares to spin off from its owner Associated British Foods (ABF). The retailer already uses click and collect and has previously avoided shipping to homes, saying low prices made packing and delivery costs difficult to absorb. In a Thursday update, Primark said it has acquired an automated fulfilment facility in Sheffield and will offer home delivery “in the future.” The company cited growing digital capabilities and online market developments as the basis for “profitable growth.” The move comes as ABF prepares a demerger expected to complete in December 2027, potentially creating two FTSE 100 companies and valuing Primark at up to £9bn. Primark’s new CEO will be Eoin Tonge.
