Romantasy book series that deserve TV adaptations more than Fourth Wing

A new piece from MovieWeb contributor Dan Selcke argues that romantasy book series deserve faster TV adaptations than the current landscape, with special focus on Amazon MGM’s Fourth Wing. The article notes that Amazon MGM has revealed the stars for its TV adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ Fourth Wing, a story about Violet Sorrengail being forced to attend Basgiath War College and become a dragon rider. Selcke then highlights other romantasy options, including A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas—currently five books with three more planned—and the Shepherd King Duology by Rachel Gillig, made of One Dark Window and Two Twisted Crowns, featuring a tarot-based magic system.
