Summernats hooks Canberra up with massive Aussie music line-up | Region Canberra
Summernats 39 is set to turn Canberra into a two-night showcase of Australian music, with headliners including The Veronicas, Birds of Tokyo, Playlunch, Sneaky Sound System and Mashd N Kutcher’s Anthems. The lineup will be split across Friday and Saturday: The Veronicas, Birds of Tokyo and Playlunch on the main stage Friday, followed by Sneaky Sound System and Mashd N Kutcher’s Anthems show on Saturday. Co-owner Andy Lopez said the music is designed to lift the overall party atmosphere across four days of the event. Playlunch, billed as founders of Bogan Funk, will lean into 1990s nostalgia and retro dance, while Sneaky Sound System’s set will feature hits such as “UFO,” “Pictures” and “I Love It.” Mashd N Kutcher will bring a full band version of big tracks and throwbacks, with “Get on the Beers” previously reaching #12 on triple j’s Hottest 100.
