Superagent Ari Emanuel: Born to fight

Ari Emanuel, CEO y presidente de WME Group, says his rise in Hollywood started in the mailroom—after spending twice daily driving across Los Angeles to deliver scripts. The industry titan, who inspired HBO’s “Entourage” character Ari Gold, is 65 and is promoting his memoir, “Roll the Calls,” set for publication Tuesday by Knopf. Emanuel also serves as chairman of TKO, which owns UFC and WWE, and represents high-profile clients including Denzel Washington, Adele, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, Bruno Mars, and Adam Sandler. In the book, he recounts a childhood shaped by dyslexia and bullying, leading to a confrontational response.
