Apple TV+ is expanding its October original slate with two new films tied to mountain climbing, plus returning animation and new series. The documentary The Last First: Winter K2 (Oct. 2) follows an expedition aiming for the first successful winter ascent of K2, the second-highest peak in the world, set during a narrow climbing window. Also due in October is Tenzing, a drama starring Genden Phuntsok, Tom Hiddleston, and Willem Dafoe, about sherpa Tenzing Norgay and his role in the 1953 first completed Everest climb. Other October arrivals include the action film Matchbox The Movie, featuring John Cena, and the British series Small Prophets. The Sisters Grimm returns Oct. 2 for season 2.
