Defence Therapeutics Appoints Dr. Amie Phinney as President and Chief Executive Officer

Defence Therapeutics Inc. has appointed Dr. Amie Phinney, PhD, MBA, as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2026. The move follows a leadership transition in which Sébastien Plouffe, founder and current CEO, will become Executive Chairman of the Board, continuing to guide corporate strategy, financing initiatives, partnerships, and long-term growth. Phinney joined the company in 2025, first as Strategy & Business Advisor in July and then as a board member in September. Defence says her work has supported advancement of its Accum technology toward a next-generation intracellular drug delivery platform.
