Ensysce Biosciences Phase 2 Protocol for CY200 - A Neuroplastigen for the Treatment of CRPS - Submitted to the UK MHRA

Ensysce Biosciences announced it has submitted the protocol for a Phase 2a study of CY200 (Cybio_001) to the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), setting up the next step for testing the drug in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Type 1. The multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group proof-of-concept study will evaluate CY200’s analgesic efficacy and safety/tolerability in adult participants. CY200 is a neuroplastogenic candidate newly obtained through the acquisition of Cy Biopharma Inc. The company describes CRPS as often triggered by injury or surgery and involving maladaptations in the central nervous system that amplify pain signals and affect mental health.
