Exclusive: Cambridge's Qureight raises $20M to bring AI to lung and heart clinical trials -- TFN

Cambridge startup Qureight has raised a $20 million Series B round to bring AI imaging to lung and heart clinical trials. The funding was led by Molten Ventures, bringing Qureight’s total from a £1.5 million seed in 2022 to $20 million. Existing investors including Hargreave Hale AIM VCT, XTX Ventures, Guinness Ventures, Meltwind and Ascension also participated. Qureight plans to launch an in-house AI imaging lab and expand into asthma, pulmonary hypertension, bronchiectasis and other lung indications, including drug-induced lung toxicity. Co-founder and CEO Dr Muhunthan Thillai, a consultant chest physician at Royal Papworth Hospital, said the idea came after difficulty interpreting a CT scan. Qureight says it is already running trials with AstraZeneca and Bristol Myers Squibb.
