xCruzo Brief

A randomized controlled trial in southeastern China reports that a structured, theory-based exercise program can improve cognition and quality of life in lymphoma patients receiving chemotherapy. Published in the Journal of Cancer Survivorship, the study was led by Yan Lin and Yabin Wang (co-first authors) with collaborators from Fujian Medical University, Fujian Cancer Hospital, Fujian Medical University Union Hospital, and the National University of Singapore. Eighty-six adults were enrolled at a specialized oncology hospital in Fujian province and assigned to either multi-theory model-based exercise plus usual care or usual care alone. Outcomes were measured at baseline, immediately after the program, and four weeks later. The trial targets drivers of behavior change, aiming to sustain physical activity during chemotherapy.
