South West hospital boss to cycle 60 miles to raise funds for charity

Glyn Howells, managing director of Southmead Hospital in the South West, is set to cycle 60 miles on Sunday, September 20, to raise funds for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity. The challenge will support the newly merged charity, which now backs all 13 hospitals under the newly formed Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. Howells will ride across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, visiting every hospital site in the trust. He will be joined by Nick Smith, Southmead’s chief operating officer, and the pair plan to complete the route in a single day while highlighting unity, continuity and charitable giving.
