How Tim Schultz went from Grand Junction kid to Meeker cowboy to Mr. Colorado

Tim Schultz's public-service career on Colorado's Western Slope spans local to state leadership. Born in 1948 in Grand Junction, he started at Home Style Bakery before entering public office as a school board member and later a county commissioner. He served as agriculture commissioner, chaired the Wildlife Commission and Economic Development Commission, and was DOLA director, occasionally holding multiple roles simultaneously. His work helped revitalize the State Fair Junior Livestock Sale and earned national recognition, including a long tenure as president of the Boettcher Foundation.
