A medical jet with six people aboard disappeared near Nantucket early Saturday while flying from Bermuda to Boston, according to the U.S. Coast Guard and the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA lost contact around 1 a.m. local time and issued a Search and Rescue Alert Notice for the Gulfstream G-100. The search was underway off the coast of Nantucket, involving air and surface assets, the Coast Guard Northeast District said. The plane is registered to Latitude Air Ambulance, based on the tail number provided by the Coast Guard. It departed around 11:40 p.m. ET Friday and went missing about 1 hour, 45 minutes later.
