Meet our 2026 Grads to Watch

Meet our 2026 grads to watch highlights Maine’s next generation of community leaders. The Maine Trust for Local News selected 12 high school seniors across the state, from Kittery to Skowhegan, to profile as they transition to adulthood. The feature showcases a diverse group pursuing careers as doctors, politicians, firefighters, engineers, immigration attorneys, and an ornithologist among others. Some honorees were born in Maine, while others came from as far as Angola, illustrating the state’s evolving student body. The project, produced by a coalition of reporters across Maine publications, emphasizes service, leadership, and the impact young people can have on their communities.
