Pittston Twp. parents to stand trial over starved toddler

Two Pittston Township parents will face trial after their 2-year-old son was hospitalized in Danville weighing only 11 pounds, court records show. Jared Tyler Schlosser, 27, and Margaret Lynn Evanoski, 26, were arrested in May on charges including aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. At a Friday preliminary hearing, Schlosser waived rights on all 10 charges. Evanoski requested a hearing, and Magisterial District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz sent all 10 charges to the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas. A dispositional hearing is set for Jan. 28 before Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky Jr.
