Teva's UZEDY Linked To Fewer Emergency Visits And Lower Healthcare Costs In Real-World Study

Teva reported new real-world findings on UZEDY showing patients with schizophrenia stayed on treatment longer and used healthcare services less than with certain other long-acting injectable antipsychotics. Data presented at Psych Congress 2026 in New Orleans compared 1,166 matched patients: those on once-monthly UZEDY had fewer emergency department visits than those on once-monthly paliperidone palmitate (22.0% vs 27.8%). The study also estimated 40% lower all-cause emergency visits and more than $1,000 per patient per month in healthcare savings. Separate analyses compared UZEDY with other injectables, including risperidone microspheres, aripiprazole once-monthly and haloperidol decanoate.
