The Good Vitamin Co, a New Zealand-based health supplement brand, has issued an urgent recall for certain batches of its Kids Good Multi multivitamin gummies after consumer reports of allergic reactions. The recall was announced on the company’s Instagram page following consultation with Medsafe, New Zealand’s medical regulator. Kids Good Multi is a children’s multivitamin sold as soft-chew gummies in fruit flavors, and the safety action follows several reported adverse reactions. The recall covers three formats and batch numbers: Kids Multi Gummies 90-count, Batch GV011015; Kids Multi Gummies Value Pack 160-count, Batch GV011017V; and Batch GV011018V. The company initially pulled the affected batches from distribution in late April, with formal public notifications extended this week. Consumers are advised to stop using the products immediately and return them to the place of purchase for a replacement or refund, and to report any adverse effects to the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring (CARM). Parents are urged to seek medical advice if necessary. Medsafe has not yet specified potential health risks from consuming the recalled gummies, and the company is cooperating with regulators to ensure consumer safety.
