Thekla becomes No 1 contender for AEW Women's World Championship at All Out

Thekla, dubbed the “Toxic Spider,” became the No. 1 contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship after pinning Willow Nightingale at a recent event. Nightingale’s injured hand appeared to limit her, and Thekla targeted it—nailing her with a kick to the knee, stomping the wounded hand and then stomping her head before securing the win. Nightingale was aiming to regain the title she lost to Mercedes Moné at All In in August. Over the past weeks, momentum shifted as Thekla earned the match for WrestleDream against Moné. Both have dominated the division this year, including Moné’s title win following a tournament.
