Three taken to hospital after lorry, car crash on major London commuter route follows a serious collision east of London involving a lorry and a car. The crash occurred on the A127 Southend Arterial Road near Great Warley at about 7:35am on July 6. An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said one patient was taken to The Royal London Hospital for further treatment, while two others were transported to Basildon University Hospital. The incident led to severe delays for commuters, with the westbound carriageway blocked from the A128 at Tilbury Road to Little Warley Hall Lane. Congestion reportedly extended as far as Dunton Wayletts, and delays also affected the M25 between junction 28 and junction 29.
