Vitruvias Therapeutics Inc. has recalled one lot of its 30 mg thyroid tablets after FDA testing found the product could be superpotent—stronger than intended. The recall notice, published Aug. 24, covers thousands of units distributed nationwide from Jan. 31 to Sept. 30, 2025, with an expiration date of Sept. 30, 2026. Of 3,600 units released, about 1,900 were sold, according to the notice. The tablets are labeled “Thyroid Tablets, USP” and can be identified by National Drug Code 69680-166-00 or lot number 504950. Vitruvias reported no adverse-event reports tied to the recall. Patients are advised not to stop without contacting a healthcare provider.
