Tiger Woods pleads no contest to reckless driving charge in Florida DUI case

Tiger Woods pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge tied to a Florida DUI case, agreeing to a five-year driver’s license suspension and a $1,000 fine. The plea came months after Woods entered not guilty pleas to two misdemeanor charges, including DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. At a Wednesday hearing at Martin County Courthouse, Woods was seen smiling. Prosecutors dropped the original DUI charge after concluding they could not meet the burden of proof for drug-impaired driving. In March, Woods’ Land Rover rolled after clipping a truck on a beachside residential road with a 30 mph limit. Officials said he was impaired, took prescription medications including hydrocodone, registered zero alcohol on Breathalyzer, and refused urine testing.
