Traffic stop leads Cherokee deputies to Acworth drug raid, 4 arrests
xCruzo Brief
A traffic stop and subsequent home search in Cherokee County, Georgia, led investigators to dismantle an alleged drug trafficking operation in Acworth and arrest four people, officials said. The Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad received information in July about suspected cocaine trafficking at a home on Valley Farm Lane. After an independent investigation, deputies stopped a vehicle shortly after it left the residence on Oct. 1. Inside, they found cocaine, prescription medication and other dangerous drugs. Investigators then executed a search warrant, seizing cocaine, MDMA and marijuana or THC products, plus a pill press and drug paraphernalia. Bonds ranged from $9,750 to $13,500.
