UPDATE: Nine in hospital after fire truck vs. bus crash

Nine people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after a Colorado Springs Fire Department engine collided with a private bus at Bijou and Tejon. Four firefighters and five bus passengers were among the injured, according to CSFD. The engine was responding with lights and sirens to a possible overdose call when it struck a parked car and the bus doors were later pinned; heavy rescue tools were needed to extract passengers. All nine patients were reported stable, CSPD will investigate the cause, and the intersection was expected to be closed for 3-4 hours.
