Vitamin products sold at Walmart, Amazon recalled over salmonella threat
Vitamin products sold at Walmart, Amazon recalled over salmonella threat after a New York-based manufacturer initiated a recall due to potential salmonella contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Total Nutrition Inc. is recalling TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa 1,200-milligram Capsules, along with the company’s TNVitamins 100% Organic Moringa Powder. The recall follows an earlier supplier recall of the raw organic moringa ingredient after potential salmonella exposure. The affected products were sold online through Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and Target, as well as through the company’s website. Customers are advised to discard the items and not eat, sell, or serve them, and the company reported no illnesses so far. Salmonella can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps, typically appearing between six hours and six days after exposure.
