Walsall mum 'laughed at by doctors' over perimenopause now runs her own business

Estel Jennings, 39, from Walsall, says she was dismissed by her GP when she sought help for symptoms she believes were linked to perimenopause at age 35. She reported hair thinning, dry mouth, taste changes and “brain fog,” but says a doctor told her she was too young for the natural transition period before menopause. After trying an expensive £50 monthly hair oil that lasted only about a month, she began formulating her own products. With a background in science and manufacturing, she launched Idyllic Hair and Skin via TikTok Shop in summer 2024 and later expanded to a website.
