Warrant issued for former Ruby Hospital doctor in hidden camera case
A warrant has been issued for former J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital doctor Lance Parks after hidden cameras were found in staff restrooms, according to the Monongalia County Prosecuting Attorney. The case involves eight misdemeanor counts of criminal invasion of privacy and one felony count alleging distributing and exhibiting computer-generated child pornography. Prosecutors said the first incident occurred June 26 when a hospital employee discovered a digital recording device hidden under a sink in a staff restroom; Parks was identified as the person who planted it, leading to suspension and later termination. The warrant follows a second discovery on June 30, after another device was flushed in a non-public staff restroom. Investigators reviewed Parks’s seized computers and storage devices and reported images of juvenile girls downloaded from social media sites and AI-generated fully nude depictions. Multiple law enforcement agencies are working to notify potential victims as the investigation remains active.
