Alouettes rally in final three minutes to knock off Tiger-Cats 31-18

The Montreal Alouettes extended their CFL winning streak to four games with a 31-18 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sunday. Montreal, now 6-1, trailed 18-17 with under three minutes remaining before pulling away. Head coach Jason Maas said the team had “too many negative plays” and needed to hold onto the ball better, but credited the effort for closing the game. Jose Maltos Diaz kicked two field goals and added a single, then running back Travis Theis sealed the win with an eight-yard touchdown run with 24 seconds left. Davis Alexander went 21-for-29 for 187 yards, throwing his first interception of the year and ending a CFL-record 356-attempt streak without a pick. Theis rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown for his second straight 100-yard game; Terry Wilson scored twice from the one-yard line.
