Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could be STRIPPED of his Freedom honour

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could have his Freedom of the City of London removed after the City of London Corporation approved a process to strip the honour. The decision is expected to be handled “as a matter of urgency” following his refusal to surrender it. The CLC previously said his association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein was “wholly unacceptable” for a Freeman’s status and obligations. Earlier this year, the body that administers the city’s centre criticised him for not handing it in despite being asked. After a legal review found no effective lawful way to remove the honour, the Court of Common Council approved a case-by-case process, allowing the individual to submit written representations before a final decision. The motion passed in May cited his ties to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
