Another Michael Jordan 'Last Dance' jersey sets auction record at $14 million
A game-worn, autographed Michael Jordan road jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals has been privately sold for $14 million, Hunt Auctions announced Monday. The Pennsylvania-based auction house said the transaction set what it described as a record for basketball memorabilia. The jersey was the one Jordan wore in Game 2 of the Finals on June 5, 1998, when the Chicago Bulls beat the Utah Jazz to even the series at one game apiece. Jordan and the Bulls later won the title in six games—his sixth and final championship of his Hall of Fame career. Hunt said the buyer is Miami real estate investor Ron Firman. The $14 million price would be the second-highest known cost for game-worn jersey memorabilia, behind a $24.12 million sale in 2024 for a Babe Ruth jersey. This is at least the third Jordan Finals jersey to reach $10 million since 1998.
