Chelsea's Cole Palmer signs contract extension through 2034

Cole Palmer has signed a contract extension with Chelsea, keeping him at the Premier League club until 2034. The deal adds one year to his current terms, after Palmer previously agreed a two-year extension that would run through 2033 in 2024. Speaking in a Chelsea statement on Saturday, the 24-year-old said the club “means a lot” to him and that he believes Chelsea is moving in the right direction. He added that discussions with the owners, sporting directors and the manager gave him confidence, and he wants to be part of a project he says targets major trophies consistently. Palmer has four goals in seven matches this season, earning a recall to England after being controversially omitted from the World Cup.
