Palmer signs Chelsea contract extension to 2034 and eyes 'major trophies'
Cole Palmer has extended his contract with Chelsea, committing his future to the Premier League club through 2034. The new agreement builds on a previous two-year extension signed in 2024 that had him tied to the team until 2033, with the latest deal adding another year. Palmer, 24, said in a Chelsea statement on Saturday that he is delighted to sign after talks with the owners, sporting directors and the manager, saying they gave him confidence. He also emphasized shared ambitions with teammates, linking his desire to play a major role to winning “major trophies” consistently at Stamford Bridge. After scoring four goals in seven matches, Palmer earned a recall to England following his controversial omission from the World Cup. He withdrew from Nations League squads, with coach Thomas Tuchel saying he “misses way too many camps with injuries.”
