Chris Janson has a message for hunting critics as country stars face social media backlash

Chris Janson says he doesn’t pay much attention to online criticism that comes with hunting and country stardom, arguing that people will always find something to complain about. The “Buy Me a Boat” singer referenced backlash tied to other artists: Cody Johnson’s Alaska grizzly bear hunt earlier this year, Jordan Davis drawing heat for harvesting an axis deer in Hawaii, and older photos of Ella Langley resurfacing after the “Choosin’ Texas” artist faced calls for cancellation. Janson told OutKick OutDoors he hasn’t watched the internet controversy involving Langley, and he and his wife, Kelly, rely on their team to manage social media, keeping him shielded from negativity.
