Cole Palmer signs Chelsea contract extension to 2034 and eyes 'major trophies'
Cole Palmer has signed a contract extension with Chelsea that keeps him at the Premier League club until 2034. The new deal runs through 2034 and builds on an earlier two-year extension signed in 2024 that would have taken him to 2033. Palmer, 24, said Chelsea is heading in the right direction and that he wants to be part of the club’s ambition to win “major trophies,” citing confidence from the owners, sporting directors and manager. This season, he has scored four goals in seven matches and earned a recall to the England squad after being controversially left out for the World Cup. However, he withdrew from Nations League matches due to a persistent groin problem, prompting England coach Thomas Tuchel to say Palmer misses too many camps. Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 and has 91 goal contributions in 138 appearances.
