Collector Car Auction Recap: Barrett-Jackson Columbus, RM Sotheby's Sealed June and More (June 25-28, 2026)
Collector-car auctions in late June 2026 delivered a packed weekend, with major results in Ohio and Europe and attention building toward upcoming summer sales. Barrett-Jackson closed its inaugural Columbus Auction at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds over June 26–27, drawing nearly 200 No Reserve vehicles on “Big Friday” and about 80 automobilia lots. The day’s top sales were tied when a custom 1956 Chevrolet Corvette convertible and a 1932 Ford Highboy custom roadster, formerly owned by Vic Edelbrock, each fetched $165,000. On “Super Saturday,” a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder led at $2,695,000, while a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 set a world auction record at $1,045,000. Meanwhile, RM Sotheby’s “Sealed June” online sale concluded June 24–26, featuring a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with 20,408 km that sold as part of a 25-lot catalogue. The piece also notes a seized Koenigsegg One:1 heading to a German auction expected to reach $11 million.
