Council to sell patch of land in centre of 'attractive village' as Bradford Council prepares an online auction for a small plot in Steeton, South Craven. The council-owned strip of land at Cornmill Yard on Skipton Road will go under the hammer on July 28, with a guide price of £5,000. The parcel covers 0.44 acres (0.18 hectares) and includes a stretch of Steeton Beck, and it is described as predominantly scrubland. Proceeds are being raised as part of a broader effort to balance the council’s books after a 2024 government exceptional financial support package required large asset sales. Bidding opens July 27 at 1pm and ends July 28 at 1.12pm, with the sale handled by BTG Eddisons.
