Dragway 42 and 2 other Ohio tracks up for sale as owner exits racing

Dragway 42, a drag racing track in West Salem, Ohio, is up for auction, joining multiple race facilities across the U.S. that are being sold by Darana Motorsports Holdings. Company CEO Darryl Cuttell said the business has taken a different direction and that he plans to exit the racing industry by selling the properties, with the goal of completing the sales by year-end. Along with Dragway 42, the auction also affects Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia, Ohio (dating to 1951) and National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio (opened in 1964). Other tracks listed include facilities in Georgia, North Carolina, New York, Kansas, Tennessee, Michigan, and Virginia. Bids are due Nov. 17, and Tranzon Atlas is handling the auction.
