Families invited to Find Waldo across Lafayette stores

Families are invited to take part in a monthlong “Find Waldo Local in Lafayette” scavenger hunt that returns to downtown Lafayette, Indiana, starting June 27 and running through July. The event asks residents to search 25 participating local businesses for the familiar striped character while supporting independently owned shops. Now in its 14th year, it is organized with Candlewick Press and the American Booksellers Association, with Main Street Books acting as the local host. Participants pick up a stamp card at any participating location and collect stamps or signatures when they find Waldo figures at stores including Scout, Fuel at Five Points, McCord Candies, and Every’s Ice Cream. Collecting stamps from 20-plus locations enters a grand prize drawing featuring Waldo-themed books and items such as gift cards and candles. A closing celebration is scheduled for Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. at Main Street Books.
