FTSE 100 Live: Miners drag London lower despite Wall Street technology rally

The FTSE 100 drifted lower on Friday, down 0.2% to about 10,810.28, as declines in major miners outweighed gains from selected tech-linked stocks after Wall Street’s overnight rally. The FTSE 250 held up better, edging 0.11% higher to 24,523.65. In New York, the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.4%, with Microsoft up 2.6%, Meta advancing 3% and Nvidia gaining 1.8%. London’s risers were led by Computacenter, up 2.7%. However, Glencore and Anglo American fell 1.22%, while Fresnillo and Rio Tinto were down roughly 1.2% each. Experian, down 2.21%, was the biggest FTSE 100 loser.
