Glasgow clubs amongst thousands to descend on Scottish town for upcoming orange walk
Glasgow clubs are set to join thousands for a major orange walk in Ardrossan, with the event scheduled for June 6, 2026. Around 5,000 visitors and approximately 3,000 participants are expected, drawing bands from Glasgow and clubs across the UK and Ireland. Organizers and local authorities plan to coordinate closely with North Ayrshire Council and Police Scotland to ensure a safe, respectful day that honors tradition while promoting community wellbeing. John Carmichael, head of the Scottish Amalgamated Committee, emphasized economic benefits for Ardrossan’s town centre and wider North Ayrshire, forecasting a positive turnout. The parade is slated to begin at noon, highlighting a day that blends cultural heritage with local enterprise and hospitality.
