Gordon Strachan hopes Celtic avoid LASK repeat because people bring up Artmedia

Gordon Strachan says he is hoping Celtic can avoid a repeat of the LASK collapse in Europe, partly because that night is constantly compared to his own low point at the club. Celtic dropped into the Europa League after failing to overturn a four-goal lead in a Champions League qualifier against Austrian side LASK, losing 5-1 in the second leg. Strachan, who led Parkhead for four years, said defeat to Artmedia Bratislava is always brought up when Celtic suffer European problems. Celtic face Hungarian outfit Ferencváros at Parkhead on Thursday night. Strachan also pointed out other heavy European defeats in the club’s history before refusing to label which was the worst.
