Hansi Flick reaches another milestone with Barcelona

Hansi Flick has reached a milestone that he never previously achieved at a top club or national team: his third season in charge of Barcelona. After taking over in summer 2024, Flick’s spell has now surpassed his longest earlier elite tenures. At Bayern Munich, he began in November 2019 and, despite winning major trophies in his first full year, left in summer 2021 after less than two complete seasons. Germany’s national team stint, starting in September 2021, ended on 10 September 2023 following a heavy defeat to Japan. Barcelona are off to a perfect start in the current campaign, and Flick has already overseen five trophies in his first two seasons.
