Hero' mum was celebrating anniversary on trip where she drowned saving sons

Leanne Gregory drowned while trying to save her two sons after a riptide swept them out to sea during a family beach trip in Bimini, Bahamas, on Tuesday morning. The 36-year-old had been celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary: she and husband Nathan booked the trip in December as an early celebration. Nathan said the incident happened in under 10 minutes, and although both boys were rescued, Leanne was pulled from the water unresponsive and later pronounced dead at hospital. Police said an autopsy would be conducted and that foul play was not suspected. Nathan also credited Royal Caribbean and Virgin Airlines for helping the family return home, and said a GoFundMe had raised nearly £9,000.
