Coco Gauff’s Wimbledon ended in a tense Centre Court tiebreak that flipped from near-certain victory to a late collapse. After about two and a half hours in the heat, Gauff stood on match point for a Grand Slam final berth, needing to execute a point after moving Muchová deep into the court. She instead played a drop/finish attempt that landed in the middle of the net, keeping Muchová alive at 9-9. Gauff then forgot to switch ends, and the tiebreak ultimately swung to Muchová, who won 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(12-10). Muchová advanced to an all-Czech final against No. 9 seed Linda Nosková.
